About Us

Hi lovelies, I’m Carly πŸ‘‹πŸΌπŸŒŠ

I’m the woman behind Sea Air & Self Care Wellness Coaching — a crazy, vibrant, big-personality, huge-heart kind of woman, navigating perimenopause and a late ADHD diagnosis at 38! πŸ˜‚

For most of my life I felt misunderstood, like the odd one out, or like I was somehow “too much”. Getting my ADHD diagnosis at 38 helped me make sense of so many things I had struggled with throughout my life. It was a huge lightbulb moment and really became part of my journey towards understanding myself, accepting myself and figuring out what I actually need to thrive.

I started Sea Air & Self Care because I want to support women who, like me, have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves or like they don't quite fit the mould.

Over the last few years, I’ve done a LOT of work on myself. I’ve discovered boundaries, challenged my people-pleasing, learned to actually listen to what I need and started figuring out what living a life that feels good to me really looks like. And honestly? It’s been life-changing.

I originally thought I wanted to become a counsellor and completed a year of a counselling degree, but I realised it wasn’t quite the path for me. I wanted to support people in a different way — helping women look at where they are now, where they want to go next and what might be getting in the way of creating a life that feels more like theirs.

I’m currently training as a life coach, with plans to continue learning around ADHD, hormones, nature, wellbeing and all the things that can help women feel more confident, connected and like themselves again.

I currently run a women’s wellness community chat for like-minded women who want connection without the pressure, expectations or judgement. It’s a space where you can come as you are, be completely yourself and talk about pretty much anything! We chat self-care, nutrition, sex, life, confidence, the stuff nobody tells you about being a woman — and everything in between. There are also monthly coffee meet-ups because sometimes you just need to get out of the house and have a proper chat! β˜•οΈ

I also run monthly craft clubs through my other business, Crafty Rebel. Each month we do a different simple craft, but honestly, the craft is almost secondary. It’s about connection, getting out, having a laugh and doing something just for you. There’s no art police, no expectations and no need to be “crafty”! There will always be cake and a hot drink too. πŸ˜‚

Alongside this, my friend Dawn and I created Beautifully Unhinged, a self-love and connection club that we started in May. We organise two walks every month, on different days and at different times to make them accessible to more people, as well as one paid event each month — from quiz nights and craft evenings to wellness days. We also love working with and supporting different small businesses and venues along the way.

Beautifully Unhinged was born because we were two tired mums, hanging on by a thread, who desperately wanted to get out, meet people and have some fun. We realised that making new friends and finding genuine connection as adults isn’t always easy, so we decided to create the kind of community we wished existed.

One of my biggest dreams is to work with clients outdoors — especially by the sea. I realised through my own experiences that I don’t necessarily thrive sitting in a room with a coffee table and a sofa. Some of us need to be outside, walking, breathing, moving and connecting with nature. 🌊

I’m a cold-water lover (yes, one of those nutters πŸ˜‚), I love sea swimming and I absolutely love the feeling I get from being in nature.

I’ve always been a people person. I started working as a hairdresser at 17, then worked as a carer, spent time working with homeless people and eventually became a self-employed cake maker. It was through running my own business that I realised how lonely I had become and how little I was looking after myself — my nutrition, movement, mental wellbeing and overall health.

That realisation became the beginning of a completely different chapter for me.

Now I want to use everything I’ve learned — both professionally and personally — to help other people feel less alone, understand themselves better and take those next steps towards a life that actually feels good.

I’m all about real people, real life, no judgement and absolutely no pretending to have it all together. ❀️🌊
